The Supreme Court has issued an important decision on the Babri Masjid demolition case today. The court has said that the case of criminal conspiracy will be held on 13, including Uma Bharti, Joshi and Advani. In this case, the Supreme Court has ordered daily hearing. At the same time, the court said that the special court will complete the case in two years. On the same case, the case has been transferred from Rae Bareli to Lucknow. As far as the hearing was done in Rae Bareli, further hearings would be there. Besides, the transfer of judges associated with the case has been banned. The CBI has ordered that their lawyer be present in the court everyday in this case.
The Supreme Court gave the verdict on Wednesday (April 19th). There will be daily hearing in this. The matter will be pursued under Section 120 (B). Apart from this, the Judge who is hearing the case will not be transferred in the meantime.
The Supreme Court has kept Kalyan Singh out of the matter. Because he is the governor of Rajasthan. Unless he remains the Governor, no case will be registered on him. What was the matter?
In fact, on December 6, 1992, thousands of servants reached Ayodhya after demolishing Babri Masjid, after which communal riots took place. CBI had sought the court to prosecute the criminal conspiracy against BJP leaders including LK Advani, former UP Chief Minister Kalyan Singh, Murli Manohar Joshi and former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Uma Bharti. Neeraj Kishan Kaul, appearing for CBI, had appealed to the Supreme Court that the case of Rae Bareli’s court case should also be a Joint Trial by transferring it to the Special Court of Lucknow.
Earlier on April 6, during the hearing of the case, Judge Nariman commented that many of the accused in this case have already died and if there is a delay like this, then there will be more. Meanwhile Advani’s lawyer K. Venugopal had strongly opposed the transfer of the case. He had said that the Supreme Court can not transfer such cases. There is a magistrate court in Rae Bareli, while the sessions court in Lucknow is listening to this matter.
