The latest results of Google search trends have revealed the development of travel queries in India between February and April this year. Google India has detected top trending search and plans for summer holidays. Includes transportation, transport, accommodation, vacation package and travel documentation. According to Google, Indians have started planning more holidays during the summer as the increase in travel travel queries was seen in February. During the period mentioned for Travel Queries, the result has been registered in 53% annual growth.
As a change in the trend, there has been an increase in non-metro cities, which is showing 70% growth rate from last year. 40.80 percent of the travel recorded between February and April in many cities and towns outside Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Ahmedabad contributed to the Travel Queries. Some of these cities include Ernakulam, Sonepat, Agra, Panipat and Guwahati.
Google says that the increase in the use of mobile in the Indians can make people choose any of their favorite places anywhere, rather than planning any research or program. Google says that due to this, travel quotes on mobile are increasing by 96 percent year-on-year and 68 percent of all travel queries are from mobile search. Smartphone access is growing rapidly in India for more than 300 million users.
The Google search query trends further stated that there was a 111 percent increase for Alternate Stay and a 102 percent annual increase for ‘destination activities’. Goa topped at Favorite Holiday Destinations At the same time, Manali, Shimla and Ooty are included in Top 10 Hill Station. Trend has seen an increase of 38 percent in Andaman and Nicobar. Jim Corbett is the most popular option among Indian tourists.
International accommodation and queries for air are registered with 18 percent and 13 percent increase respectively. Google’s search result has revealed that the US is the first choice of people, followed by UAE and Thailand. At the same time, small countries like Nepal, Indonesia and Bhutan recorded an increase of 64.8 percent, 42.1 percent and 40.8 percent, respectively. Burj Khalifa and Eiffel Tower are at the top for international travel.
The rail service has received the highest search queries in travel mode, which is 56 percent with year-to-year increase. According to the search trend, the queries for the railway service were comparable to the combined search for air, bus, taxi and car rentals. This railway service is the largest mode of transport in India, there are more than 8,000 railway stations across the country.
