Google has officially announced the conclusion of the Android nougat program and announced that the company will soon introduce a beta version of Android ‘O’. Google introduced the first developer preview of Android ‘O’ in March this year. At the same time, in the Google I/O 2017 developers conference to be held on May 17 this month, the company will show the Android ‘O’ with new changes and features. Roll out of the beta version of Android ‘O’ will start in May and June.
While announcing the completion of the Android Nougat Beta program, Google said that “Beta has been concluded for Android nougat, and is currently updated to the public version on almost all devices. If you are still using beta version of NOUGAT, you can download new full OTA images in your device. This update will not harm your data. We will update this site when the Android O beta program starts. ‘
The beta version of the Android O developer preview will be available in some devices, including Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player, Pixel and Pixel XL. To roll out the developer preview for Android O, Google did not release it through the OTA. Instead, users will have to download factory images and manual flash in their device to install updates. Beta version Ota update for Android O is expected to be updated.
In the Android O Beta version, features on the background app can give better battery life, features such as notification channels and adaptive icons. Android O will be given autofill apps, native picture-in-picture mode, wide-gamut color for apps, high-resolution audio, better keyboard navigation, and more fast Android Runtime.
Fourth preview for Android O may be offered until mid-July, which may include final system imaging for final testing. After this, the final release of the company, Android One, may be introduced in the third quarter of the year i.e. in September. With the Android O, Google will improve the wireless audio experience, the user will get more control on the notifications of the app. Apart from this, the battery performance will be even better.
