PAYTM has started selling gold on its platform. For this, the company has partnered with India’s only internationally accepted refinery MMTC-PAMP. In a statement issued on Monday, the company said that on its platform customers will be able to purchase 24-carat gold of purity and store it in the safest and 100% insured vault of the country at no extra charge. People can also request their gold delivery in their home as minted coins or sell them back online.
The company said that customers can tap Gold icon on the home screen of the Paytm and can buy international quality gold immediately at the prices associated with the transparent market. With this, each Indian will be able to buy, store and sell the best quality gold in the world according to its budget.
At present, consumers who have transacted more than 50,000 rupees from Patmi need KYC information and it will also apply to the Gold Scheme. If the consumer wants to sell gold later, MMTC-PAMP will buy them back from the gold and transfer the money immediately to the customer’s bank account.
“We are registering a large number of small towns as customers are now in the smallest value to buy high quality gold,” said Patiala’s senior vice president Krishna Hegde in a statement.
