Telecommunication Regulator TRAI said that it will launch an app shortly to measure the quality of the call so that the customer can evaluate the quality of the service at the end of the call.
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has also planned to strengthen the ‘Do Not Disturb Registry’ program. The goal of this program is to prevent the disturbing calls made by telemarketing companies.
TRAI President RS Sharma said in a program held on the completion of 20 years of the regulator, “We are going to take two measures, the first is that the customer can measure call quality after the call is completed. They can say what it was like for them and they can give a rating. The second initiative will strengthen the current ‘do not disturb’ system.
Currently there is a system of ‘DND’ Registry, which prevents telecom companies from making undesirable calls regarding telecasting companies.
